We are pleased to announce that Alex Horton has assumed the role of President of Pivot Ministries’ Board of Directors effective April 1, 2026.
Alex has been a valued member of the Pivot community for many years—first as Co-Chair of the Outreach Committee at Green’s Farms Church in Westport, and since 2022 as a member of the Pivot Board. He currently co-leads the Pivot Book Club and plays an active role in the Pivot Alumni Program.
Alex succeeds David West, a member of Stanwich Church, who faithfully led the Board from 2023-2026, guiding Pivot to greater financial and operational strength. We are deeply grateful for David’s steady leadership.
Raised in Cheshire and going on to attend the University of Connecticut, Alex lives in Westport with his wife, Kirsten. He is an active member of his community—participating in the Rotary Club, serving at Green’s Farms Church and a long-time football coach at Staples High School. Professionally, he is the founder and CEO of Broad Range Benefits Group (BRBG), a comprehensive insurance advisory firm in Shelton, Connecticut.
Rev. Richard Williams, Executive Director, Pivot Ministries, says: "Alex brings both passion and vision to this new role, believing deeply in Pivot’s mission to provide 360-degree care that renews a man’s spirit, mind, and body. He describes Pivot as a ministry that “loves a man back to hope”—restoring wholeness so he can live sober, employed, and in service to his family and community.
"Please join me in thanking David for his years of dedicated leadership and in welcoming Alex to his new role as Board President. We look forward to the continued growth and impact of Pivot Ministries under his leadership"
